I	When was your regulator last serviced?

II	When were the batteries in your computer last changed?

III	Check all hoses for cracks or peeling.

IV	Check your SPG (submersible pressure gauge) for leaks, cracks.

V	Check your compass for north orientation.

VI	Check your mask skirt and strap for cracks and peeling.

VII	Check your fin straps for cracks. Do you have spares?

VIII	Disassemble and clean your BC’s (buoyancy compensator) dump valves, and low pressure inflator. [salt is it’s nemesis].

IX	Fill the air bladder - check for leaks.

X	Check the inspection dates on your air cylinders.  Visual check OK?  Hydrostatic check OK?

XI	Check the valve “O” rings. Are they dry, cracked or peeling? Replace them.

XII	Check the valve seats for pits and chips.

XIII	Is your knife/shears rusted? Clean and oil it.

XIV	Has your dry/wet suit been lying on the floor in the basement? Near the heater? Shame on you!  Hang it up! Check the seals for cracks, peeling, tears, contaminants like oil, detergents and  cleaners.  Check the purge valves for sticking (salt buildup).

XV	Wax the zippers.
